We accept contents of all genre, except those that are defamatory in nature. Although not a must, it is preferable that characters in your literature bear African names, and if possible staged in an African setting.

It is very easy to get published on Country Tales. However, it will be good to note that we do not publish just any content on our platform, due to the demand for quality and competitive edge. In case of rejection, our team will contact you and give you recommendations where necessary, letting you know about your shortfalls and also encourage you to resubmit your content for consideration.

There's no predefined range for contents published on our platform, as far as word count is concerned. However, a minimum word count of 500 words would be much appreciated. It could be less, as long as it thrills our avid readers.

Kindly ensure that your documents are saved in any of these formats before you submit them to us: doc, docx, rtf, pdf, txt. Font size should be 12px minimum.

No! We have zero tolerance for plagiarism. Contents of your literature needs to be original; it shouldn't be the published works of other authors.

No! You don't need to design your own cover arts. We will save you time and money by designing one for you, for free.

No! We do not have deadlines. You can submit your contents to us anytime you feel like doing so.

We understand and are fully aware that writers need to utilise other platforms to promote themselves and their works. We cannot stop you from publishing your contents on other channels such as your personal blog, website or social media.

Paying authors for their submission is part of our long-term goals. At the moment, we are working tirelessly to ensure that our writers earn some royalties on each submission they make. We will keep you informed as soon as we roll out with payments.

We usually respond to our authors within two hours upon receiving their messages. You can contact us for further details if you do not hear from us within this specified time frame. You should also consider our working hours (08:30 to 18:30 GMT) before sending us a message. Messages sent outside of our working hours might take longer hours to reply.
